I grew up in Western New York and attended Daemen College where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I started my teaching career at St. Patrick School in Portsmouth after my husband, Mike, and I moved to the area in 1997. I worked there for two years teaching 3rd and 4th grade. I took a few months off from teaching to have my son Michael, but I went back to work teaching reading in the Title I program in Hampton, NH at the Marston School. I moved into a 4th grade classroom shortly after that and taught there for the next 6 years. During that time my second son, Burke was born and I completed my Master’s Program in Elementary Education with the University of New England in Biddeford. I decided to take a break from teaching after having my third son Jack. I was very grateful for this time with my family but did miss being in the classroom. I was fortunate enough to work as a substitute at Mitchell School which led to me to this position. I love reading, hiking with my family and Disney World. I am looking forward to this new school year. Parent involvement and communication are very important in the success of each student, so I welcome your calls and emails.
